Remembering The Twin Towers

September 12, 2008

Well, i was young when this happened, but when my mom was driving me to preschool on september 11,2001, she was listening to the radio, and she was shocked. Well i was really little so i didnt understand, but now i do. A terrorist high jacked a plane, and of course killed the pilot, then crashed into the twin towers. Many people were shocked at the scene, in fact, im still shocked though i was very little and i dont remember. At after care today, i was sitting next to some girl in a chair next to the computer. I saw her type in Twin Tours, and i suddenly was interested. we even talked about this in social studies this morning at school. well anyway we saw the playback from the news when it happened, people were jumping out of the buildings because there was no where else to go. many fire fighters, police, and even just normal people went in and risked their lives for other people. the girl and i started talking, and i felt like crying when i saw the news thing, so many school kids lined up outside of school  in New York, just sadly watching the twin towers fall. actually, there were 4 planes. i felt so sad after seeing the news scene. so many innocent people killed, and for nothing…..? so many precious lives killed and seriously injured. And today is the day we remember the brave people that risked their lives for other people, and the 1’s that tried to help. i raise my hand and put it in salute to those people. here are some pics of twin towers before and after they fell to the ground in pieces:

Now doesnt that look sad and horrific? here’s a video about it trust me, it’s extremely sad, and it will make you cry if u actually care:

OMG ISNT IT SAD? FROM 2:50-3:01 IS THE SADDEST THING IT MADE ME CRY SO HARD!! Kevin Cosgrove on the 105 floor says that 3 people are trapped and the windows are broken and suddenly u hear him scream OH GOD! OH! then he hangs up. to me, there’s no doubt that the phone lost connection and he died as the towers fell. so sad. made me cry!

  2. PLEASE READ!!!!!!

I hate this cruel world that we live in. Yesterday i went to a memorial of 9/11 and they talked about a 30 yr old who lived in my town, went to my school, and graduated there, and innocently went to the Twin Towers one morning.
    And Died.
My band teacher played the trumpet and my older sis sang God Bless America. I too solute those people who helped the victims, the nurses and doctors who tried there best to save them, the firemen who put the fire out and risked their lives to get as many people out as possible, and some lost there lives, and the policemen who keep our towns and cities safe as best they can. I also solute the 40 or so people on one of the Terrorists planes who sacrificed their lives and crashed the plane that was supposed to destroy The White House. I feel your pain. Sigh, and thank you vos, for posting about this, it’s heart warming to know that you care.
And I feel the pain of those families of the tragedies victims.
Puts hand down and bows head.*
And bless you, all the 300,000+ victims. I’m sorry for your death, you all had such a long life to live.
    God bless you all.

  5. *sniff* I dunno what to say vos… I mean, Im sad but… I dunno, but loads of people died :( and I just can’t find a way to say I’m you know… devastated. I have no idea what goes on in America… but THAT is just cruel and sad… Terroists attacked london like a year ago too… thats sad aswell! Why do ppl think violence is the answer? Why do they do this? is it fun to watch ppl die in terror? I dunno, but it has to stop… but what are we to do huh? May those poor innocent victims rest in peace (and those terroists go to H*LL!)

  8. that vid was sooo to the point. to see those building soaring over all the surrounding buildings collapse to the ground like that. i always wondered it the terrorist were rejoicing when that happened. did they know that they would do that? or would they have been happy if the people on the top floors and planes had been killed? anyways i feel its really important that we don’t ever forget, become complacent and let anybody ever do something so horrific to us again.

  9. There was another video where the smoke coming from the tower was in the shape of the devil. It was so scary.
